Boy in Holland raises €1,000 for RP orphans

THE NETHERLANDS—Kyle Baleva, 12, was able to raise 1,000 euros for orphaned children in his mother country the Philippines by completing the 30-kilometer-per-day hike of the world’s biggest hiking event the Nijmegen International Four-Day Marches last July 24.

Nakapaglakad din ako ng isang oras, mga 4.6 kilometers na lakad. Whew! Isang linggo din akong laging nakaupo sa harap ng computer, madalas sumisilip sa Facebook at email at balita sa Pinas; pag napagod na sa kakababad sa internet ay laro naman ng poker with real ngunit online players at play money; dalawang lumang magagandang pelikula din ang napanood ko bago matulog: Casablanca at The English Patient; tapos nakadownload ng mga lima pang lumang pelikula na nirekomenda ni Alvin.

Whew! Just arrived home from a 45-min walk from the lab. The combination of cool air and a bright sun was perfect for the walk--plus the green scenery with brown, white, black, and black&white cows is pleasant to the eyes; my first time since I got here, but I have walked a longer path before around the city.
